Saturday night (Bay City Rollers)

Tonight we went to Thailand Restaurant (the in-the-shadow-of-the-courthouse place) for yummy eats including a salad with tofu and steamed veggies with peanut sauce. I love the peanut sauce, which I had on the side, so I went a little overboard with it and combined it with rice. On the plus side, I didn't feel hungry afterward.

We had a nice time with DG. He's an INTJ who clashes with ENFPs in the workplace ;) I assured him I was harmless. He broke up with his girlfriend (due to leaving Chicago for New York). She had the gall not to like Wicked by Gregory Maguire! One of the best books ever. Although D, and my friend A, didn't like it either. Come to think of it, Maguire's books went downhill after that. Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister was pretty good, but Lost wasn't. Neither was the one based on Snow White. However, my brother always gives them to me for Christmas, which is a nice thought :) He introduced me to Wicked, for which I am grateful.

I think there is only one person for each person.

INTJs and ENFPs are suppose to be compatable, but I think that only ablies in one on one situations.

I think that people choose to make a life with somebody and that one becomes the one, but before they make that choice there were many options.

Cool! I am a huge wicked fan :) My favorite books are all over the board...I liked middlesex by jeffrey eugenides, kitchen by banana yoshimoto, the amazing adventures of kavalier & clay by michael chabon, anything by jennifer weiner, anything by louise rennison, 32AA and call waiting by michelle cunnah, and there was this book called pastries about rival bakeries that i really loved...i think the author was bharti kirchner. i also liked dixieland sushi by cara lockwood. you would probably like at least one of those. midwives by chris bohjalian is really good too. sorry for the long response.

INTJ means introverted-intuitive-thinking-judging.
ENFP means extroverted-intuitive-feeling-perceptive.

Vegetable personalities

At the risk that you'll all think I'm nuts...but heck. I was getting cauliflower ready for dinner and it occurred to me that vegetables have different personalities. In my mind, anyway. [Posted by Bearette's husband until she has Internet access] e was born today! 8 pounds even, a cute and healthy baby boy. He likes to stick out his tongue just a little, and move his mouth around. The hospital gave him a little white hat with a purple pom pom. Bearette is tired but happy. Pictures soon.

Eventful

A lot has happened today already. I went to meet D for lunch and along the way I spotted a Boston terrier -- one blue eye, one brown. I stooped to pat it and then I heard an ear-bruising screech!! Everyone's head whipped around. Even the dog jumped. A taxi had squealed to a halt and there was a delivery boy on its hood. Somebody yelled, "Call an ambulance!" The boy seemed fine, even hopping on his bike to finish his deliveries -- but everyone persuaded him to stay. I took out my cell phone but another woman was already giving details to 911. After the woman finished the call, I was satisfied that help was on its way, so I continued. There were a bunch of rubberneckers/supporters gathered around the boy, so he wasn't alone. The dog stayed too. I was shaken by this, of course, but then something amusing happened.
