Books and celebrities

This is the kind of meme I can't resist, though I haven't been doing many memes lately. Feel free to do it on your own blog or even in my comment section :) The rules are, you bold the books you've read, italicize the ones you want to read, and leave unchanged the ones you're not interested in.

A side note: I've had 2 celebrity sightings in the past week. One was Nathan Lane on 5th Ave between 15th and 16th. He was surrounded by a tight little knot of men (entourage or bodyguards? Except they didn't look particularly big.) He said, "I need my time!" and they all laughed obligingly.

Today I saw Ted (the chef on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy). I've seen him before, as well as Jai Rodriguez, the guy who does "culture." I wonder if it is still on the air. D and I used to be devotees of the show, and then we got bored.

Why is nothing italicized?

I guess none of the other books interested me that much.

I've read many of the same books you have... and other books by the some of the other authors on the list; Findley's The Wars, Dumas' The Three Musketeers, Albom's Tuesday's With Morrie, Card's Ender's Game (along with the two series that sprang from that book, and several books by Dickens.

Where did this list come from?
The books I've read that you haven't are The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Auel's Clan of the Cave Bear, Albom's Five people You Meet In Heavenand Atwood's Stone Angel, Clavell's Shogun, Laurence's The Diviners.

Would you recommend any of those in particular? I should have mentioned where it came from. Tenseteacher.net and poppycede.blogspot.com.

You've read more of them than I have.

I think Ted Allen is too busy being a judge on Iron Chef and Top Chef to pay any attention to his old friend, Queer Eye.

He seems like he would be an approachable celeb. :)

Oh! well, i'm glad he's busy :) He did seem approachable, but he was chatting with someone. I almost never say anything to them, I figure they want their privacy.
