Cardigan news

Here are a couple more pics of the cardigan:



It's going well. Once I finish this main body part of the cardigan, which is knit in the round, I will do the sleeves separately. And - for the very first time - I'm going to block it. Which in knitting terms, just means getting the material a little damp, and then gently stretching it out so that it matches the dimensions of the pattern.

I thought u had to always block a knitter article.. my mom did.. That sweater looks better than the one u had the link to!..

Wow! Thanks. Yeah, usually it doesn't seem necessary to block, but I think the lace pattern is a little puffy, and it might be a good idea to flatten it a bit when it's done.

That looks great! I always kind of block, in the sense that I hand-wash and lay flat to dry after I finish. But I'm sure it's different between a hat and a cardigan!

Looks great! Can't wait to see it finished! You might have just inspired me to try a cardigan myself. I've been thinking I need one but don't want to spend money on clothes right now. Spending money on yarn is much different :)
