The moment you've all been waiting for...

Took a couple of belly shots for Caro.





My mom is putting together a meet-the-baby gathering in MA for September. Of course, she'll be meeting him when he gets here.

Am loving my Tide stain stick from Bed Bath & Beyond. I recommend it to all pregnant women and other people who drop stuff on their bellies (salad dressing, etc.)

As for the stain stick: my sister-in-law told me when she first got pregnant she was getting morning sickness a lot, but she hadn't told her boss of her pregnancy yet. She said she got a little "mess" on her shirt once, and she hoped the boss wouldn't notice. The stain stick would have been helpful, I'm sure :)

Stain stick is not just for pregnant women. Meat tells me she uses it all the time on her kids' clothes, so be sure to keep some around after E is born! :)

You look so cute in that dress! I've wondered if those stain sticks work. I guess I'll have to try one out for myself. I don't have a belly out front, but I'm a perpetual food dropper. :)

Thank you for the belly shot. Your belly is the only part of you that looks pregnant. The rest of you looks as trim as ever.

I'll bet you're one of those ladies who looks the same a month after giving birth, lucky you. :-)

At the risk that you'll all think I'm nuts...but heck. I was getting cauliflower ready for dinner and it occurred to me that vegetables have different personalities. In my mind, anyway. happy birthday e!

[Posted by Bearette's husband until she has Internet access] e was born today! 8 pounds even, a cute and healthy baby boy. He likes to stick out his tongue just a little, and move his mouth around. The hospital gave him a little white hat with a purple pom pom. Bearette is tired but happy. Pictures soon.

Eventful

A lot has happened today already. I went to meet D for lunch and along the way I spotted a Boston terrier -- one blue eye, one brown. I stooped to pat it and then I heard an ear-bruising screech!! Everyone's head whipped around. Even the dog jumped. A taxi had squealed to a halt and there was a delivery boy on its hood. Somebody yelled, "Call an ambulance!" The boy seemed fine, even hopping on his bike to finish his deliveries -- but everyone persuaded him to stay. I took out my cell phone but another woman was already giving details to 911. After the woman finished the call, I was satisfied that help was on its way, so I continued. There were a bunch of rubberneckers/supporters gathered around the boy, so he wasn't alone. The dog stayed too. I was shaken by this, of course, but then something amusing happened.
