I did some thinking about my post yesterday. I decided one solution is to try to get Z used to the stroller -- either the car seat stroller or the Maclaren. She is just getting too heavy for the Ergo (baby carrier). Technically it goes up to 45 lbs, but even 20 lbs is a bit much for me. I'm writing this here to remind myself to do it.

WAIT - I didn't realize you couldn't use the stroller or car seat yet w/out an issue - YES THEN YOU DO NEED to give yourself a break. Think of those "happy mother makes for happy baby" mantras...and try to block out her screams....they'll eventually reach the extinction spike and begin to fade out (at first they'll get louder and more dramatic, make sure you don't wait a while and then respond to them...thereby reinforcing the theatrics)

haha...i like your emphatic comment. agreed, it's probably about time for the stroller...but i keep chickening out...and the ergo is so much easier with public transportation...

true re: public transportation...i used the ergo for a ridiculously long time b/c it was easier shuttling Wally around the city that way...until he was over 2...and then i made him walk at 2 1/2 but even that's not always practical ...i hate when suburban people show disdain for 4 year olds in a stroller - they never do it - but it's like YOU HAVE A CAR!!! does your kid walk 2 miles in 97 degree heat??? and then 2 miles back?

No, he walks from the parking lot into target and then back to the car again
