Message loud and clear

I'll be honest...I don't check the mail that often. Sometimes you get a gift, or a card, or an Amazon package, but more often it's bills or coupons for a free rug cleaning. We have a hardwood floor.

Today I got a big packet emblazoned with my hospital's name and logo.

I haven't opened it yet.

The message is loud and clear: Soon you'll be giving birth. You'll be pushing (probably) a 9-lb baby through an area that is really too small for this sort of thing.

And yet, I'm relieved. Because I want to meet him!

I'm sure you're getting so anxious - excited and probably a little nervous, too. BTW, will any of your family from MA be up for the birth? I know you can't predict the exact date E will arrive...

My mom told me to call her when I get my first contraction, so she'll be there in 4-5 hours from the beginning of labor :)

Is that how babies come now? In the mail?

Man, isn't modern medicine great?

Just to give you a horror story:
My sister's labour with Lima Bean was 15 minutes. Seriously. I'm aware it's abnormally short, but I think an arguement with her boyfriend set things going.

BC, silly, it was my registration papers for the hospital ;) 15 minutes -- that's pretty impressive.
