Potatoes in the Mist

 The kids stayed home today because of the hurricane. We made the best risotto. It didn’t have many ingredients, but it was fabulous. The rice was cooked in white wine and broth, then we added havarti and chopped cotton candy grapes.

 This little bird flew into my terrace door this morning. After a few minutes, he flew away. 

 A high school friend sent me this…the good old days.

 Madonna's daughter released a song and I like it. It's called Lock and Key.

 I love all cats, but I have a soft spot for tuxedo cats. They’re so dapper. 

 Eric made the stuffed gnocchi from Trader Joe's. He cooked them in a mixture of butter and olive oil, and grated a bit of white cheddar on top. Delicious.

 Season 7 of Workin’ Moms came out. I love that show. 

 I just started reading The Good Left Undone by Adriana Trigiani. She’s such a good storyteller. 

 The kids and I saw Van Morrison last night. It was so good. The concert was held on a Seminole reservation, near a massive casino. I had some Chardonnay and the kids shared a huge Kit Kat. Everyone was happy 😊

 I’m sad that Bridgerton is over. I wonder whether next season will focus on Colin or Benedict. 

 Eric, Zoe and I ended up seeing the Indigo Girls first. Spontaneous outdoor concert in Pompano Beach. I survived the drive 😎

 Zoe and I will be going to see Sting in May. My first live music since February 2020. 

 Up until now, I’ve had good Florida bug luck, but I just saw a beast in the bathroom sink. I bashed it with a hiking boot. 

I read that Ed Sheeran doesn't have a cell phone. I thought this was fantastic. I've been cutting down how often I check texts and emails, and it feels wonderful. (I'm still addicted to Twitter, of course.) 

 Reading The Christie Affair, about Agatha Christie’s terrible husband and her subsequent disappearance. Fortunately the second one was better. 

 I never get sick of Trader Joe’s chocolate croissants.

 Just finished Emily in Paris. Major cliffhanger...

 Catching up on season 2 of Emily in Paris. I'm not into clothes but I do like one dress I saw on the show - sparkly, pink, tinfoil texture.
