Just finished Emily in Paris. Major cliffhanger...
Catching up on season 2 of Emily in Paris. I'm not into clothes but I do like one dress I saw on the show - sparkly, pink, tinfoil texture.
My addiction to the British Bakeoff continues. I'm polishing off an early season before they remove it on January 1. One strawberry mousse roll with chocolate-covered strawberries looked particularly good.
Zoe is friends with two snakes at her school: Sandy and Rex. Sandy is shedding her skin, and Zoe says, "They look sad when they do that." The snakes take naps in her lap, and sometimes give her hand a gentle squeeze.
I made a delicious blueberry pie today. The kids and I loved it. The filling consisted of blueberries, sour cream, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Then there was a crumbly topping (pecans, brown sugar, etc) that was crisped in the oven. The final topping was heavy cream with a touch of confectioners’ sugar, whipped into soft peaks.

 So cute!
It’s flooding here. I had to wear flip flops to get my coffee.
There was a little lizard on my car as I drove back from Publix. I could see his little head, watching the cars go by. At one point he jumped off. I hope he had a soft landing.

I love the pretty things they make on the Great British Bake Off. This is a buttercream flower.
The great British bake off is so cute. They're rolling their little sponge cakes.

Zoe and I just tried these pumpkin rolls from Trader Joe’s. Delicious!
Trader Joe’s apple cider doughnuts are so good!!
I love the new show "On the Verge" by Julie Delpy. Everything she does is great.
One of the cats I feed has figured out where I live. He was lurking outside my building when I came back with my coffee 😊
I just finished Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell. It took me several times to get into it, but I'm glad I read it. I gained a lot of insight into Shakespeare, his son, and Hamlet.
I just finished watching The Chair on Netflix. I really enjoyed it. Sandra Oh is always good. So was Jay Duplass, a new actor to me.

Zoe and I went swimming in the ocean tonight. That always makes me think of the song Nightswimming by REM. I also took a picture of the moon, which was full.

This is Orange, my favorite cat at the church. They all got neutered recently so she’s a little subdued. Still very cute though 🧡
Just swam in the ocean. It was perfect. The water was 83 degrees.
I love the golden retriever puppies on Instagram. In California, there are 2 breeders who have puppy accounts filled with cuteness.
Just finished watching Workin’ Moms. It’s such a fun show. And Toronto looks so similar to New York.
I’m in New York and the piano player upstairs is still here...lilting notes here and there.
I was looking at some of the blogs I used to read and it struck me that no one is really blogging anymore. But I don't feel like deleting this. So I think I'll keep writing here sporadically. I'm going to New York tomorrow for the first time since March 2020. Should be interesting. The kids are excited. I made a list of restaurants I want to visit. I also want to walk on the high line again.
Just finished The Kominsky Method. What a good show.

Florida is full of nuts, potheads and Republicans, but it’s sunny and beautiful.
Just got my first shot. That's a big relief.
Just finished Firefly Lane. There better be a second season!
Things are looking good in Georgia. Democrats might gain control of the Senate!
I’m reading The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain. Very interesting book about time travel. Without being science fiction.
